Organ:
The Telecommunication Standardization Bureau (TSB) fulfills the objectives of the Union relating to telecommunication standardization, by providing secretariat support to groups studying technical, operating and tariff questions and facilitating the adoption of Recommendations in these areas with a view to standardizing telecommunications and information technology on a global basis. In order to achieve these objectives, the Telecommunication Standardization Bureau works in accordance with the instructions of the World Telecommunication Standardization Assemblies (WTSA), Telecommunication Standardization Study Groups and the Telecommunication Standardization Advisory Group. TSB, headed by an elected Director, provides the technical, administrative and logistic support for the assemblies and for the meetings of the groups mentioned.
 Duties / Responsibilities
Graphic Design & Communications Intern (2 positions)

Key responsibilities:
  • Support in the communications & graphic design of the Operations and Planning Department to promote IT applications and open source Informations Systems.
  • Design videos, power point presentations, infographics and other visual materials.
  • Develop communication material based on existing ITU-T recommendations.
  • Conceptualize technical scripts and storyboards for videos.
  • Performing other duties as assigned

    Profile:
  • Proficiency in the following design formats is desired: Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Illustrator Adobe After Effects, Premier Pro and MS PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of video creation
  • Previous working experience is a plus (internships)
  • Excellent command of English and knowledge of French, other languages are an asset
  • Good understanding of technology, detail-oriented
  • Ability to consistently respond to urgent requests with fast-turns
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment
  •  Competencies
    Communications; Detail-oriented, Customer oriented

    Qualifications required
    Education:
    Currently pursuing their degree or within one year of graduation from a Bachelor or Master in Graphic design, Communications or similar.
    Languages:
    English (fluent/ mother tongue)
    French (fluent) - Desired
    Additional Information:
    Please note that a non-remunerated Internship position at ITU does not carry the same conditions of employment as a Short term or a Fixed term position. Mandatory Medical Insurance, travel expenses, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of the interns or sponsoring institutions.
