The Telecommunication Standardization Bureau (TSB) fulfills the objectives of the Union relating to telecommunication standardization, by providing secretariat support to groups studying technical, operating and tariff questions and facilitating the adoption of Recommendations in these areas with a view to standardizing telecommunications and information technology on a global basis. In order to achieve these objectives, the Telecommunication Standardization Bureau works in accordance with the instructions of the World Telecommunication Standardization Assemblies (WTSA), Telecommunication Standardization Study Groups and the Telecommunication Standardization Advisory Group. TSB, headed by an elected Director, provides the technical, administrative and logistic support for the assemblies and for the meetings of the groups mentioned.
 Duties / Responsibilities
Events Management Intern (2 positions)

Key responsibilities:
  • Support in the organization of ITU-T non-statutory events such as workshops, forums, summits and seminars.
  • Designing flyers, infographics and other visual materials
  • Website support
  • Event registration support
  • Event support (i.e., invitations, signage, credentials, etc.)
  • Performing other duties as assigned

  • Enrolled in an University programme, preferably in event management, marketing and communication or graphic design
  • Proficiency in the following design formats is desired: Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and MS PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of video editing is a plus
  • Previous working experience is a plus (internships)
  • Good command of English and a good knowledge of French, other languages are an asset
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to consistently respond to urgent requests with fast-turns
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment
  •  Competencies
    Event Organization; Detail-oriented, Customer oriented
    Desired: Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and MS PowerPoint
    Qualifications required
    Currently pursuing their degree or within one year of graduation from a Bachelor or Master in Hospitality, Events Management, Marketing and Communications or similar.
    English (fluent)
    French (fluent) - Desired
